Pre-Contract Considerations

The process of handling the purchase of a house is known as CONVEYANCING and we can handle this for you in a smooth and timely manner. However, before an agreement is even signed there are a number of things that we believe should be carefully thought through. These PRE-CONTRACT CONSIDERATIONS include:

  • The PROPERTY itself
  • Having appropriate CONDITIONS in the agreement that meet your requirements
  • Having adequate FINANCE for the property
  • LIM, BUILDER’S REPORT and DUE DILIGENCE
  • The actual format of the SALE AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Before you sign a sale and purchase agreement you should seek legal advice from us. Many purchasers believe they have signed an agreement which allows them to cancel, if they wish, but when the contract is reviewed by a lawyer they find that the clauses in the agreement do not allow for this. You should ensure that one of our team reviews any SALE AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT and its conditions prior to you signing so that the agreement and conditions are explained to you from a legal perspective.
